19 days on the loose after a crash, chihuahua Lilly is back home

MASSIE TWP., Warren County — A pet chihuahua who spent 19 days on the loose after a serious crash is now back with her owners.

The dog, named Lilly, got loose after the crash on Oct. 13.

On Friday, employees of Tincher’s Welding in Harveysburg spotted Lilly and were able to catch her and return her to her owners, Massie Twp. Fire Chief Don Fugate said.

Her owners, family friends, local residents, members of the Massie Twp. Fire Department, Harveysburg Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Department of Natural Resources all have assisted in searching for her, Fugate said.
