TROY — As memorials, tributes and events are held across the country in remembrance of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a traveling 9/11 memorial has stopped in the Miami Valley.
The Tunnels to Tower 9/11 Never Forget exhibit has been touring the country for eight years and is currently set in Troy.

Since 2013, more than 300,000 people have visited the memorial, which is a 53-foot tractor trailer that transforms into a 1,000 square foot exhibit.
The exhibit has a strong connection to 9/11. Tour guide, Jim Kielty, retired New York Fire Department Captain, was on ground zero Sept. 11, 2001.

20 years later, he called the exhibit “uplifting” and told News Center 7′s Michael Gordon what it means to him.
“It is nice to see that people still do remember 9/11 that were not directly involved, so it is important to them to come here and see this exhibit,” Kielty said.
The exhibit will be open Saturday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
