800 grams of various drugs found in Dayton home

DAYTON — More than 800 grams, or approximately 1.8 pounds, of various drugs were found in a Dayton home after police received reports of an overdose at the residence.

Timothy Manson, 61, was arrested for possession of drugs and having weapons while under disability, according to a police report.

When officers arrived on the scene, Manson answered the front door and said he didn’t know if anyone at the home had overdosed, according to the report.

He has not been formally charged.

Police responded to the 200 block of Boyer Street around 9:56 p.m. Monday after a caller reported a woman had overdosed and was unconscious.

Three women were at the home, but none of them knew if anyone had overdosed.

While looking for a victim upstairs, officers found a dinner plate with a white powdery substance and a digital scale.

Officers asked Manson if they could search the property and he consented, according to the report.

During a search of Manson’s bedroom, officers found two guns in a clothes hamper, as well as a bag of drugs.

The bag contained 52.75 grams of crack cocaine, 22.63 grams of cocaine, 49.73 grams of heroin and 114 Xanax pills.

An officer also found 694 grams of marijuana in another bag located in the attic’s crawl space.

Manson reportedly told officers that another woman had multiple keys to the home and had permission to stay there while Manson was in jail.

The report did not indicate if police found a woman who has overdosed at the home.
