The victim, Bobby Mims, 82, was found dead inside a vehicle on Locust Street near North Main Street around 3:10 p.m. June 16.

Bobby Mims was stabbed multiple times and his death was ruled a homicide by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Vivian Mims in April 2013, was convicted of felonious assault involving Bobby Mims and was sentenced to five years’ probation with community control sanctions that prohibited her from having contact with him or being within 1,000 feet of him, according to Montgomery County court records.

Those community control sanctions ended in May 2016 after the court found “the offender has abided [sic] by all the sanctions of community control previously imposed, and it rehabilitated to the extent that the community control period should be terminated.”
