Oakwood Officer Claude McCormick, who died in the line of duty in 1933, and Dayton Detective Jorge Del Rio, who died last November while serving his community will be honored in a cruiser of lights caravan.

May 8 coincides with the #lightohioblue campaign. The caravan will leave from the Marriott at the University of Dayton at 6:30 p.m., making stops at the Oakwood Police Department and the Dayton Public Safety building downtown in honor of the two officers who have been added to the memorial this year.

The caravan will make a final stop at Dayton Children's Hospital for a Good Night Lights display for the children and their families.
