CENTERVILLE, Ohio — A goose was recently rescued from a pond at the Harbour Club Apartments in Centerville after becoming stuck in the ice.
According to a Facebook post that was sent to News Center 7, a maintenance tech on the property managed to safely rescue the goose. However, it was determined that the goose didn’t have any feet. Officials believe that a snapping turtle may have gotten to the goose.
Lieutenant Dan, which is now the name of the goose, has some new prosthetic legs with flippers on them after the maintenance man did some research and found them.
Lt. Dan is now living at Erica Miller’s Wildlife Rehab property in Miamisburg.
