Gas prices are increasing in the Miami Valley.
According to GasBuddy, gas prices in the Dayton area rose an average of 11.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.34 a gallon.
The average price for gas in Ohio is $2.29 per gallon. The average price for gas in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus is about the same.
“With West Texas Intermediate crude oil holding over $50 per barrel for the last several weeks, gasoline prices have moved higher in the majority of the country,” said senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.
