Sinclair Community College dental hygiene students will provide free preventative services to children beginning at 9:30 a.m. today, which is National Give Kids A Smile Day.
Approximately 20 second-year dental hygiene students will provide services that include cleanings, X-rays if needed, fluoride, dental exams and referrals to a dentist if necessary.
Exams also are available for infants and toddlers that include fluoride varnish and a referral if necessary. The clinic is open until 4 p.m. and walk-ins are welcome in the afternoon.
The clinic is located on Sinclair’s downtown campus, Building 4, Room 4-332.

In 2015, Sinclair’s dental clinic provided services to nearly 1,500 adults and children at virtually no cost to the patient, resulting in a cost savings of approximately $440,000 to individuals who might not otherwise have access to dental care.
