Fire crews investigating cause of abandoned house fire in Dayton

Dayton Fire crews request a house be demolished following a fire in Dayton on Monday morning, according to the Dayton Fire Department Public Information Officer, Brad French.

Crews responded to reports of an abandoned house on fire at 9:45 a.m. on June Street in Dayton.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Dayton Fire Department Investigations Unit, French said. No one was injured in this fire.

“No interior fire operations were conducted by responding Dayton Fire Department crews due to the extent of the fire conditions upon their arrival,” French said, “the fire was controlled by defensive measures from the exterior.”
