Keith Scott, 25, of Dayton has been charged with four counts of felonious assault stemming from the shooting on North Gettysburg Avenue early Sunday morning, according to court documents.

Scott is accused of firing one shot that traveled through one victim and also hit another, sending both to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment, court records show.

The incident started at a birthday party at The Party Palace in the 2100 block of North Gettysburg Avenue. According to court records, Scott was one of the people helping clean-up at the venue when an argument broke out in the parking lot. The argument involved a woman who was also cleaning up the party and three other women who were in a parking lot, according to court documents.

Witnesses told police Scott and another man were first trying to prevent a fight from breaking out, but he got into an argument with another person. Police said Scott then pulled out a gun and fired one shot that hit two people before he fled the scene.
