RICHMOND, IND. — A stabbing victim was hospitalized with serious injuries after an incident in Richmond, Indiana early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Officers and medics were called to a convenience store at 1201 South Ninth Street just after 5 a.m. after the victim walked into the store asking for help, police said in a media release.
The victim was found with multiple stab wounds and was also showing signs of overdosing, police said. They were transported to Reid Health for treatment before being flown to Miami Valley Hospital and they are in serious condition.
Additional details about the incident were still under investigation and not released by police.
