DAYTON — The Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County released the results for two sobriety checkpoints in Dayton Friday night.

Both checkpoints were in operation from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the areas of West Third Street and North Gettysburg Avenue and West Third Street and Janes H. McGee Boulevard, according to a task force spokesperson.
There were 215 vehicles that went through the checkpoints, the police department said.
During the checkpoints, there were 16 drivers without licenses or whose license was suspended.
Police also made made three arrests on warrants.
Extra patrols were in the area surrounding the checkpoints, which led to 17 drivers getting pulled over, one OVI arrest, and one person driving without a driver’s license, police reported.
The locations of the checkpoints were announced in advance in accordance with state law.
“OVI checkpoints and enhanced patrols during this weekend are an effort of law enforcement agencies to deter and to apprehend impaired drivers. The majority of the deadliest crashes occur on the start and throughout the weekends,” the task force spokesperson said in the release.
