Static mass fatality tent will be on public display Montgomery County Coroner’s Office

DAYTON — The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab will provide the public an exclusive look into its mass fatality tents later today, according to a news release.

It will take place this afternoon at 12:00 p.m. behind the Coroner’s Office at 361 W. Third Street.

The inside look will highlight the equipment usage and intended purposes in a simulated field operation, the release said.

Among those who will speaking will be Montgomery County Coroner, Dr. Kent Harshbarger, and Bob Hunkeler, Special Projects Coordinator.

The mass fatality tents will feature staged morgue processes to simulate field operations and information about equipment usage and intended purposes will also be available, the Coroner’s Office said.
