SPRINGFIELD — A man hospitalized after a shooting in Springfield earlier this week has died from his injuries, according to police.

Gary Strodes, 30, was identified as the victim killed in the shooting Wednesday, a Springfield city spokesperson said in a media release Friday morning.
Strodes walked into the emergency room at Springfield Regional Medical Center and was later pronounced dead after he was shot in his pelvic area, the spokesperson said.
Police have not made any arrests yet and are asking for anyone with information about the shooting to contact police at 937-324-7685.
