Police seek public’s help for information in 3 unsolved 2018 Trotwood homicides

TROTWOOD — Trotwood police and Miami Valley Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help for information in three shooting deaths in 2018 that are believed to be connected.

Police believe the shooting deaths of Elmer Rucker, 23, and Antonio Collins, 25, on April 18, 2018 and Charles McLemore Sr., 73, on Aug. 24, 2018 are connected, Miami Valley Crime Stoppers Coordinator Zachariah Hastings said during a media availability Wednesday.

Rucker and Collins were shot and died from their injuries at the Pinewood Gardens apartment complex April 18. Both were found suffering from gunshot wounds inside a car that was parked in the parking lot of the complex, investigators previously told News Center 7.

McLemore was found shot multiple times inside his apartment on Northford Road in Trotwood after police were called to check on him after he had not been seen for days, investigators said.
