UPDATE: Cincinnati-area girl, subject of missing child alert, located safe

COLERAIN TWP. — UPDATE @ 2:45 p.m.:

Lakota Elliott, the 4-year-old Cincinnati-area girl who was reportedly abducted by her non-custodial mother, has been located in Covington, Kentucky and is safe, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Additional details about Lakota’s mother, Emily, was not released.

FIRST REPORT (Dec. 23):

A regional Endangered Missing Child Alert has been issued for a Colerain Twp. girl who police believe was taken by her non-custodial mother.

Lakota Elliott, 4, is described as 2-feet tall, 32 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. She was last seen wearing a purple jacket.

Lakota is believed to be with her mother, Emily Elliott, 35. Emily is described as 5-feet 6-inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

They are believed to be traveling in a black-colored vehicle with Kentucky license plates.

Investigators said Emily was notified she lost custody of Lakota and took off with her. Lakota is believed to be in danger, officials said.
