UPDATE: West Carrollton man killed in crash on Harshman Road; 2 others injured

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 12:42 p.m. (July 1):

A West Carrollton man is dead after a crash on Harshman Road Thursday.

Gary Roberson, 53, was identified as the man pronounced dead on scene, according to the Montgomery County Coroners Office.

The crash happened in the 1400 block of Harshman Road, near Eastwood lake, just before 10 a.m.

Roberson was traveling north on Harshman Road in a tan pickup truck when he crossed over the center line and hit an oncoming red Chevrolet Equinox, according to a Dayton Police crash report.

The driver of the Equinox, Santa Philpot, 61, and the passenger, David Philpot, 62, both of Dayton, were transported to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries. Santa remains in critical condition and David is listed as being in stable condition, according to Miami Valley Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
