1 man dead, 1 man flown to hospital after crash in Clinton County

CHESTER TWP. — A man has died and another was flown to the hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle accident in Clinton County Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened on State Route 380 south of New Burlington Road in Chester Township at 2:35 p.m., according to the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A 2014 Jeep Wrangler was traveling northbound on SR-380 when a 2008 Chevrolet Impala going southbound went left of center and struck the Jeep Wrangler. After impact, the Impala traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail, OSHP said in a news release.

Devin Jones, 45 from Centerville, the driver of the Chevrolet Impala, was transported by medics to Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington where he was pronounced dead.

Scott Craycraft, 55 from Springfield, drove the Jeep Wrangler and was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, dispatchers told News Center 7.

The crash remains under investigation.
