A wrong-way driver on Interstate 70 Thursday night caused a scare for multiple drivers as they drove on the highway shortly before 11 p.m.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, they received a call from a driver who said she passed the wrong-way driver near Airport Access Road.
“There was somebody heading the wrong-way on the highway,” the caller said. “I just saw two headlights coming at me and I veered off the road.”
An Ohio Department of Transportation camera captured the driver entering I-70 from Airport Access Road driving the wrong direction at 10:50 p.m.
Another witness told News Center 7 the driver passed him and the driver appeared to be driving the wrong way in the fast lane or the emergency lane.
The patrol searched the area of the highway following the reports, however never was able to locate the suspect vehicle.
