Student arrested for weapon violation at Piqua High School

PIQUA — A 16-year-old boy was arrested Friday at Piqua High School on a felony charge involving a weapon on the school grounds.

The weapon was reported by school officials shortly after noon Friday to Piqua police, according to a report released Monday.

The high school is at 1 Indian Trails in Piqua.

The report did not specify what type of weapon was involved in the incident, nor how officials learned about it.
