2 shot after argument at Setters Lounge in Dayton

The two men shot in the parking lot of Setters Lounch early today are both in their 20s. The victims are Dayton men, aged 26 and 28, according to a Dayton police report.

Police earlier said both men shot outside the bar, 1006 Gateway Drive, were in stable condition and were expected to recover from their injuries.

Two people shot following an argument in the parking lot of Setters Lounge early this morning are now in stable condition, according to police.

Dayton Police Homicide Division Supervisor Sgt. Richard Blommel said one victim was found shot at the scene and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries initially believed to be life-threatening.

Blommel said a short time later a second victim arrived by private vehicle to Grandview Medical Center, also with injuries believed to be life-threatening.

The status of both victims has been upgraded to stable, and both are expected to recover from their injuries.

Blommel said this shooting does not appear to be related to two shootings that occurred later Sunday morning on Needmore Road in Harrison Twp. and Prescott Avenue in Dayton.

No other details were released by investigators, including if police had any suspects.

FIRST REPORT

Police and medics in Dayton have responded to reports of up to two people shot following a large fight early today at Setters Lounge on Gateway Drive.

Police were first requested to the bar at 1008 Gateway Drive around 2 a.m. on a reported large fight. Police scanner traffic indicated shots were heard in the background of the 911 call.

One person was reportedly found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his back. The condition of the victim and severity of the injuries sustained was unknown.

A second person was reportedly dropped off at Grandview Medical Center, also with a gunshot wound to the back. It was not immediately clear if this victim was also shot at Setters Lounge.

Reports indicate the suspect fled the scene on foot, but a weapon was recovered by police on scene.
