DAYTON — A Lebanon man received more than $500 in counterfeit money after trying to sell his cell phone, according to a Dayton police report.

The victim met with a young man in the 300 block of Mia Avenue in Dayton around 9 p.m. to sell the phone, according to the report.
“Replica note” and “Rozetta Prop Money” were on the bills, according to the report.
They met through Letgo, where the victim posted that his cell phone was for sale for $540.

After the other man “purchased” the phone and left, the victim realized the money was fake.
