Pot plants found growing outside man’s Dayton home

A 52-year-old man is facing drug charges after police found marijuana plants growing outside his Burlington Avenue home.

John Metcalf was summonsed into court after officers found nine marijuana plants in the 0-100 block of Burlington on Saturday, according to a police report.

Metcalf told police he had not planned to do anything with the plants and only wanted to see if he could grow them, according to the report.
