Police shoot man during undercover operation in Columbus

COLUMBUS — An 18-year-old man was shot by police Wednesday night during an undercover operation in Columbus.

The officer-involved shooting happened around 8 p.m. in the 2800 block of Duvall Lane in southeast Columbus, according to the Columbus Division of Police, our media partner WBNS-TV in Columbus reported.

Columbus police said a SWAT officer was undercover to do an exchange set up on LetGo.com, a website used to buy and sell items.

They said the suspect, Kyler Collier, robbed the officer and another officer involved in the operation shot Collier, WBNS reported.

Collier was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The officers were not hurt.
