A pursuit that began in Miami County traveled through Shelby and Logan counties before it ended with the suspect crashing on the east end of Sidney.
The pursuit prompted a “Signal 99” in Shelby County, which indicates a need for officer assistance.
The suspect was heading north at speeds around 85 mph at points before turning back south. The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. on Ohio 47 on the east end of Sidney in Shelby County.
We are working to find out what led to the pursuit.
The driver was taken from the scene in an ambulance, according to a witness.
