The mother of 5-year-old shooting victim Maleki Parker was indicted on robbery and drug charges this week.
The charges stem from an incident at her home the day before her son was fatally wounded when bullets sprayed her house on Nov. 8, 2015, in the first block of East Bruce Avenue in Dayton.
Tiffany Walker, 27, was indicted for aggravated robbery with a three-year firearm specification and for possession of heroin and cocaine, according to the Montgomery County grand jury report released Thursday.
Walker was indicted along with 24-year-old Jarren Allen and 19-year-old James L. Walker, who both face aggravated robbery charges with a three-year firearm specification. Allen also is charged for having weapons after a prior felony conviction, the grand jury report stated.
Two men were robbed at gunpoint Nov. 7 at Walker’s East Bruce Avenue home, but the suspects claimed the men owed them money, according to Greg Flanagan of the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
Flanagan said there is no information that the robbery victims are involved in the fatal shooting. On Nov. 8, 10 shots were fired at Tiffany Walker's home. One bullet struck her son, Maleki, while he was in the living room. He succumbed to his injuries the next day at Dayton Children's Hospital. No charges have been filed in the child's death.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the trio, who are scheduled to be arraigned May 26, Flanagan said.
