Mom charged for heroin with child in car

A mother woke up in jail today after police arrested her for allegedly having heroin in her purse.

Chelsea Marcheski, 22, was taken into custody during a traffic stop yesterday on U.S. 35, according to a police report.

They said her 5-year-old daughter was in the car, along with a man who had a warrant out of Dayton for driving under suspension.

Dayton officers asked to search her bag, and they said they found four gel capsules with a substance that tested positive for heroin, according to the report.

Marcheski was charged with felony possession of drugs, as well as child endangering, a misdemeanor, according to jail records.
