A man shot in the shoulder Wednesday night was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center.
The shooting was reported around 10 p.m. in the 900 block of South Limestone Street, Springfield police said.
The gunshot victim is expected to recover. Police have not released any information about a possible suspect, and said the incident remains under investigation.
