Man accused of child rape arrested

A man indicted Friday on several sex related charges including child rape was arrested this morning.

Christopher W. Marcum, 33, was indicted Friday on two counts of gross sexual imposition with a child less than 13, a third-degree felony, and three counts of rape of child less than 10, a first-degree felony. The female victims are 7 and 10, according to the Montgomery County prosecutor's office. Marcum had a relationship with the victims' mother.

Marcum was arrested this morning by the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team at a residence on Gunkel Road, according to a release. Investigators made contact with a person believed to be Marcum's mother at the front door, but she denied that he was inside and said he was living in another state; however, he was located inside.

He was arrested without incident and taken to Montgomery County Jail.
