Greene County — The Greene County Adult Probation Department recently mailed notices to area sex offenders ordering them not to participate in multiple Halloween related activities.
These activities include:
- Accepting trick or treaters at their home or passing out candy to children
- Participating in trick or treat with a child
- Attending any party where a person under 18 may be present
- Entering into any business established for the purpose of selling costumes.
- Volunteering at any haunted houses or similar events

During the designated trick or treat hours offenders are advised to stay in their house with their door shut and porch light off.
The Probation Department also informed that any violation could constitute a violation of their probation.
