The Kettering Police Department took to social media today to announce its new prescription drug drop-off box in the lobby.
Kettering police posted information about the drop-off box on Twitter and on its Facebook page.
The box accepts prescription pills and patches no longer needed, but no needles, liquids or aerosols. The Kettering police station is at 3600 Shroyer Road.
The department posted on Facebook that it installed the box to help combat the opioid crises in the community and the environment.
“The safe disposal of prescription medication, especially the powerful opioids, keeps these drugs from getting into the wrong hands,” the post reads.
