Three people were ejected from an ATV that struck a utility pole along Smith Road just before midnight Saturday in Champaign County.
Passenger Jessica Hackworth, 27, of Urbana, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where she was listed in serious condition Sunday in the intensive care unit, according to the Champaign County Sheriff's Office.
Driver Jared L. Williamson, 28, of Urbana, and passenger Eric Weisenbarger, 44, of St. Paris, were both taken to Urbana Mercy Hospital, where they were treated and released, the sheriff's office reported.
Williamson was operating a Polaris 500 Sportsman quad runner east in a grassy area along the north edge of Smith Road when his ATV struck the pole near Kiser Lake Road, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash remains under investigation.
