Huber Heights woman indicted in mother's stabbing

A woman was indicted Friday in the knife attack of her mother last month in Huber Heights.

Erika Drees, 33, is accused of stabbing her 69-year-old mother in the early morning hours of July 27 at their home in the 5200 block of Angelita Avenue. Drees still had the knife in her possession when she was found two hours later at a Chambersburg Road Speedway gas station, according to police.

Prosecutors said Drees was supposed to enter a plea by bill of information on Aug. 13, but the motion was withdrawn. Prosecutors presented her case to a Montgomery County grand jury, which indicted her on two counts of felonious assault.

Drees remains held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail, online records show. She is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, according to prosecutors.
