DAYTON — City officers seized about 100 marijuana plants and other equipment from a suspected grow house in the 500 block of Hamilton Avenue, according to a Dayton police report.

In addition to the plants, officers seized six lamps and two transformers,” according to police.

When city officers drove to the Hamilton Avenue residence around 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday and they found it boarded up and vacant, according to the incident report.

They also located solar panels connected from a detached garage running wires to the home.
“Sgt. Beane, Officer Rudy and I could smell a very strong odor of marijuana omitting from the home,” wrote Dayton Police Officer Michael Conrads in the incident report.
“... There were several lamps, marijuana plants, and transformers in the upstairs bedroom,” Conrads wrote.
