Police raided an apartment near a Dayton elementary school Tuesday that had been under investigation for prostitution and drug activity.

Dayton police searched the apartment in the 1100 block of Troy Street which is adjacent to the Kiser PreK-8 School.

Police said the apartment had been under surveillance for weeks after neighbors complained of people going in and out all day and night.

The investigation gained momentum when an undercover officer answered a sex ad online and arranged a meeting at the apartment.

Jenna Goney, 26, was arrested during the raid and is being held on suspicion of soliciting and drug possession.

Jacob Testerman, 31, was allegedly one of Goney's clients who showed up while police were executing the search.

Police confiscated a gun, cocaine and heroin.

One neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous said the woman arrested seemed nice.

"Despite what she was doing, she seems like a very nice person," the neighbor said. "This probably, actually, has saved her life and may turn it around."

Parent Tiffany Ward whose 6-year-old child attends Kiser said she's relieved about the bust.

"I've never heard of anything like that, especially that close (to a school)," she said. "I don't like it at all."
