Velis Nelson is accused of the fatal shooting of his cousin, Brian Nelson, 36, on O Street in Richmond early Sunday morning. The cousins were at the home of another cousin when an argument began, according to Kicks96.
Velis Nelson was released from the Montgomery County Jail last month after a grand jury declined to indict him on any charges related to a 2006 cold case homicide. Nelson was facing four counts of murder and four counts of felonious assault with a deadly weapon in the Jan. 5, 2006 shooting deaths of Felicia Kirksey-Goodson-Battle and Elizabeth Davis.
