A 21-year-old woman only suffered a graze wound to her left cheek this evening when she was shot in the face, deputies said.
The woman was shot just before 5:10 p.m. at her Northland Village apartment in the 1900 block of Palisades Drive.
The woman told deputies she was shot by someone known to her who entered her apartment without consent, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect’s name was not released, and it’s not clear whether anyone has been arrested.

A woman was shot tonight in the Northland Village apartment complex.
Yellow crime tape is up around one apartment, and an ambulance left with at least two Montgomery County Sheriff’s cruisers following.
A woman who identified herself as a relative said the victim was a woman in her 20s who was shot in the face in what was believed to be a domestic situation.
The relative said there were five children in the apartment, including two or three belonging to the woman and a couple of children she was baby-sitting.
Deputies would not release the name, age or condition of the woman or any information about a suspect.

Crews were called this evening to a report of a shooting in the Northland Village complex.
