The suspect entered the BP gas station on Wilmington and Smithville between 3 and 3:30 a.m. wielding the large knife, police said in a Facebook post. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect used duct take to tie the clerk’s hands and feet, and fled the scene, police said.

The store’s surveillance camera captured the suspect just as he entered the store and during the robbery. In the video, which is above, the suspect can be seen pulling a bandana over his face just before the robbery, officers said.

His voice can also be heard briefly demanding money from the cash register.

Kettering police is asking the public to help them identify the suspect. They ask that you contact Detective Vince Mason at 296-2583 with any information about the suspect.
