Burglars caught on camera at Dayton bingo hall

Two burglars cut the wires to an outdoor security camera at Eastown Hall Bingo in Dayton, but other cameras captured their images as they left empty-handed.

The break-in was reported early Sunday after the thieves tripped a security alarm at the bingo hall, 1232 Falke Drive, according to the Dayton police report.

The burglars broke a window to gain entry and ripped off the exterior security cam in addition to cutting the wires to it, according to the report.

Police said before the camera was disabled, it recorded clear images of the burglars -- two white males, ages ranging from late 20s to early 30s, with one wearing an Ohio State hat and black bandanna over his face.

Other cameras that were not disabled recorded the pair after they changed to long-sleeve shirts and ran through the building, then leaving without anything in their hands, according to the report.

Police were also able to see the dark-colored 4-door sedan that the burglars drove away.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday afternoon.
