After Turner's conviction and sentencing for the assault of an intoxicated, unconscious woman, California state lawmakers this week voted unanimously for a bill that will toughen penalties for sexual assaults.
Turner is allowed to return to his parents' new residence in Greene County to serve his three-year probation.
