At least 20 people have been affected by a credit card skimmer that was discovered on a gas pump at a gas station near I-75.
The skimmer was found on a diesel fuel pump at the Circle K on East State Street near I-75.
Botkins police discovered the skimmer on Feb. 10 after a bank alerted the department after several customers reported fraudulent charges on their credit/debit cards, according to Botkins Police Chief Tom Glass.
Glass said police believe the skimmer was installed sometime between Jan. 25 and Feb. 10.
Two banks in Botkins and a bank in Wapakoneta reported that customers at their branches may have been impacted, Glass said.
