A Bellefontaine jewelry store was set ablaze to cover up a robbery Tuesday morning.
Police and fire officials said the fire appears to be intentionally set at Smith Jewelers, 110 Columbus Ave.
Crews responded shortly before 6 a.m. and remained there late into the morning for the cleanup and investigation.
The owner tells News Center 7's Brian Bondus that one or more thieves took $10,000 to $20,000 worth of jewelry.
