CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Zoo announced on their Facebook page Monday that they are officially on “baby watch” for their coming sloth pup.

Keepers of Mama Sloth “Lightning” posted a new video, showing the young sloth in her belly moving around.
“Starting today, volunteers will be watching her on camera overnight to let her care team know if they see any signs of labor. The keepers have already prepped and baby-proofed her habitat,” they say.
The zoo first announced Lightning’s pregnancy back in February, and first estimated the pup would make its arrival in September or October. But based on their post Monday, it sounds like baby sloth could now come sooner.
