Train damages vehicles parked near Troy Strawberry Festival

TROY — Two vehicles parked near the Strawberry Festival were damaged on Saturday after a train passed through the area.

The train stopped following the incident reported around 4 p.m. The locomotive blocked Staunton Road and Water and North Market streets for about 45 minutes, according to Troy police.

There were no injuries, and only two vehicles were damaged, police said.

The festival provides free parking but local businesses also offer paid parking.
