Vacant business is a total loss after catching fire Sunday afternoon

Dayton Springfield Road will be closed in both directions near the 2300 block for at least another hour while crews work to clear the scene of a structure fire.

The fire occurred in a vacant business in Mad River Twp. and investigators are still working to learn the cause.

Three different fire departments responded to the scene Sunday afternoon to contain the burn and they say the structure is a total loss.

INITIAL REPORT:

A structure in the 2300 block of Dayton Springfield Road has caught fire in Mad River Twp.

Initial reports indicate flames are showing.

Traffic may be effected in the area as crews work to control the burn, according to scanner traffic.
