A 52-year-old woman remains in jail, accused of having property in her home authorities believe was taken in several thefts and incidents of breaking and entering at the gated community of Lakengren.
Shawnee Tucker is in the Preble County Jail on a cash-only bond set at $835, having been formally charged in Eaton Municipal Court on a single count of receiving stolen property, according to the county sheriff's office.
Sheriff's deputies on Jan. 26 executed a search warrant at Tucker's residence, in the 100 block of Norseman Drive in Lakengren, where they found suspected stolen property in the house and garage valued at more than $2,000, according to the sheriff's office.
The warrant led to the clearance of at least five cases in Lakengren, where buildings were entered and items taken included power tools, hand tools and a pressure washer, according to the sheriff's office.
Tucker was arrested the day the search warrant was executed.
Deputies continue to work to identify the owners of property recovered from the residence.
Any Lakengren resident who has been the victim of a theft and has not reported the crime is asked to
contact the sheriff's office at 456-6262.
