VANDALIA, Ohio — Air Wisconsin Airlines recently announced that it will be reducing its workforce at Dayton International Airport beginning October 1, 2020.
The reduction in workforce may affect 47 union/represented employees and is the direct result of decreased flying operations with United Airlines and in the decrease of travel demands due to COVID-19, a release said.

Company officials said the workforce reduction will be a temporary layoff; however, the layoff time period is unknown, as it will be dependent on the increase in travel demands and United Airline’s need for Air Wisconsin’s flying services.
Employees learned that their last day would be Sept. 30, 2020.
The airline operates at 3550 Hangar Drive in Vandalia.
