DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:20 p.m.: A caller told a Montgomery County 9-1-1 dispatcher a male on a bicycle suffered a broken leg when a vehicle hit him on Volkenand Avenue in Dayton.
“He just fell down. His leg’s broken,” the caller, a male, told the dispatcher with Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.
“The car hit him. He was on a bike. It just run away,” the caller said of the vehicle.
INITIAL REPORT
Police and a medic unit are on the scene of a reported hit-and-run accident involving a bicyclist in the 100 block of Volkenand Avenue in Dayton.
The incident was dispatched about 9:45 p.m. and we're hearing the vehicle that is believed to have hit the bicyclist left the scene. The bicyclist is believed to have suffered at least a broken bone.
