Police investigating after 2 suffered head injuries at Dayton home

DAYTON — Update@3:09 a.m.:

The incident does not appear to be a shooting, police said after investigating the scene and talking with the victims. It’s not clear why the call came in as a shooting, but information is sketchy at this time because the victims are not cooperating with investigations, a police spokesman said.

Both male victims were transported to Miami Valley Hospital because they suffered blunt force trauma to the head, police said. One victim’s injuries are life threatening and the other suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said, adding that there are no suspects at this time.

Police aren’t sure if there was a fight between the two victims or if someone come to the home and assaulted them, the spokesman said.

We will continue monitoring this story and bring you the latest information as soon as it’s available.
