Police investigating body found on Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton

DAYTON — Dayton police are investigating after a dead body was found in the woods on Gettysburg Ave. Tuesday.

A Sgt. with they Dayton Police Department told News Center 7 that crews are investigating a “John Doe” found in the woods in the 1900 block of Gettysburg Ave. near the Adult Parole Authority building and the St. Vincent Gateway Shelter.

The coroner has removed the body from the scene for further investigation, according to a Sgt. on scene.
